The elections in Zimbabwe weren’t violent but it does not mean that they were peaceful. People can be silent but it should not be concluded that they are at peace. Just like during the times of the slave trade; the slaves’ singing was always consciously misconstrued by the English parliament to mean that they were rejoicing in their captivity yet they were doing so at the terror of a lash. Peace is a sacred and noble situation, which is intertwined to freedom. Silence is reverenced for a leader only when either he is loved or feared.

In Zimbabwe, our fear is a world secret, which is unfortunately unscrupulously taken to mean love therefore our silence, means peace. The people of Zimbabwe need freedom rather than fear to achieve peace. Peace in Zimbabwe has always been an induced situation to push an agenda of stealing political offices.

The people of Zimbabwe have been telling this story of repression and duress in our country for quite a long time now and it is just unfortunate that the world has now grown weary of empathy. The Prime Minister nailed it last week that the world stance now is shifting to legitimising the illegitimate. With the Chinese already leading the looting of resources from Zimbabwe, the West has felt the pressure to deal with and find ways to legitimise the corruptible kleptocrats for them to join in the looting spree of our heritage. It is hustler politics now, the days of recognising democratic and legitimate governments are fast petering away before they even show their full light in the world political play field. The world is grasping opportunistic politics now, like hustlers, countries are making more money when others are weakening. For media, I understand that capitalism does not allow them to keep on singing the same song of repression in Zimbabwe; even if its the fact on the ground, their viewership will be compromised. For heads of states to do the same like what is happening now with Zimbabwe; I fear that these hustlers will ruin the livelihoods of us the people and our children in this country.

No amount of justification or guise can cleanse tyranny and so the people of Zimbabwe should wake up to that fact and call a spade by its rightful name. The conspiracy of Western domination and neo-colonialism should never in this world be the green light to take human life or suppress the natural dictates of freedom for all in the name of weeding out ‘sellouts’ to safeguard sovereignty. The people of my country should now stop looking at politics as a neighbourhood community with closed circuit but rather at a broader and open national society level. This should now be our starting point. A life lost and a right denied in Checheche should send shockwaves and quakes of concern to a fellow citizen in Gwabalanda. The country has been heavily divided at the moment and that is why the spirit of tyranny is still flourishing and the heavy hand of suppression striving as supreme. Our people should envisage and grasp spirit at a national level to completely stamp out this rule of the blue bloods that has deemed it worth to sacrifice every other soul in the country for the sake of personal accumulation.

My vision of transition in Zimbabwe all along has been following a model and blueprint of anger and retaliation by the masses like what we noticed in Libya. This however clashed with my utopia of a Gotham Zimbabwe where people could live in harmony within their communities and where the governor respects the governed.

After pondering upon the story within the Anglican Church in Zimbabwe, I also saw my wish being quashed to favour a more Zimbabwean like and dignified but yet painful way (to our adversaries) of making political transition in Zimbabwe.

I felt so touched and at the same time jubilant by the events in the Anglican saga in Zimbabwe. From that moment in December 2012 when Bishop Chad Gandiya held a cleansing ceremony of the cathedral, I have always felt that the same demon that had manifested itself in the church is the same, although with additional tricks, with the one that is currently besieging the political side of our country.

For a new era to be officially declared in Zimbabwe, incense should burn in exactly the same way that happened at Harare cathedral to exorcise a demon and scourge of repression and corruption that had manifested itself in our politicians and held the whole country to ransom for far too long. The overwhelming majority of Zimbabweans are Christians therefore I feel that it will be the right call for the whole nation to come together in unity to pray and cleanse our nation of this decade long totalitarianising evil by a gang of greedy kleptomaniacs.

Romans 12v20-21 clearly teaches us that, “Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.”

Our country has for a long time now been a manufacturing pot for the redefinition of kleptocracy and dictatorship. All the extremes of bad and evil governance have been crafted in our backyard and I pray that in this information age such insanity should be well exposed and put to an end. All Zimbabweans should now appreciate that our independence in 1980 was just a transfer of colonial power from Smith’s dictatorship to a tougher and homegrown type of repression. Our election in 2 weeks time should be a show of protest and the right machine gun to bring this gluttonous oligarchy in Zimbabwe to an end.

Zimbabwe is now split between politicians who are either puppets of the West or East. Anyone who has been preaching the gospel of democracy and good governance is being labeled a puppet of the West. But still we have the new friends who are exploiting our brothers and sisters, our environment and breaking laws left, right and center while using illegal permits. Who is issuing these licenses? These are now the puppets of the East who sacrifice the country for self benefit.

The kleptocrats in Zimbabwe are trying all recipes to redefine patriotism. It unfortunately can never be confined to doing as they please, as a don’t ask don’t tell, but it is exactly the opposite of that wish. Patriotism entails the liberty to exercise my rights for the good of my country rather than individuals. Maybe they should try to transpose patriotism with brainwash instead. A sellout is the greedy politician who exploits our resources only for the good of his clique and family.
