Zimbabwe’s gay pageant defies political repression

Every year when the jacaranda trees in Zimbabwe are in lavender bloom, Gays and Lesbians of Zimbabwe (GALZ) stage the annual Jacaranda Queen Drag Pageant. A big pom pom to GALZ for opening the closet doors and letting out some provocative entertainment when all around us the social space for free expression is being constrained.

    Am shocked about our morality as a country.Being at an international university we all have been boasting of our morality especially against the gay movement.What has become of us?Shame to those who participated because God will surely bring all to judgement!

    AMANDA YOU ARE A FOOL FOR SOMEONE WHO IS AT UNIVERSITY GO BACK TO GRADE ONE…ITS EASY TO SAY THAT WHEN YOU HAVENT FOUND OUT THAT YOUR BROTHER OR BETTER YET YOUR SO CALLED BOYFRIEND IS GAY………….THEN GROW UP THIS IS 2007
