Plan is a humanitarian, child centred community development organization which strives to achieve lasting improvements in the quality of life of deprived children by enabling them, their families and their communities to meet basic needs and to increase their ability to participate in and benefit from their society.

Plan Zimbabwe and Plan Norway National Office (NNO) with financial support from NORAD are implementing a five year program aimed at creation of a sustainable, safe and child friendly environment for the participation and protection of marginalized children and young people in Plan Zimbabwe operation areas of Harare (Mutoko and Epworth), Kwekwe, and Bulawayo (Tsholotsho and Pumula urban).

Plan Zimbabwe wishes to engage an experienced consultant(s) to conduct a Mid-Term Evaluation of a five year project. The midterm evaluation seeks to establish the extent to which project objectives are being met; including looking at levels of impact of the project on beneficiary groups especially children and youth. The study also seeks to generate recommendations that can be used by Plan and partners during the remaining phase of the projects. Plan Zimbabwe invites bids for the services of a consultant, whose responsibility is to carry out a Mid Term Evaluation (designing of tools, methodology, data collection, analysis and report writing) in Kwekwe, Epworth, Mutoko, Bulawayo and Tsholotsho.

The Consultant must have an advanced degree in Social Sciences or related field (Masters desirable) with at least 5 years of verifiable experience in working with disadvantaged children and youth, HIV and AIDS programs, administering evaluations i.e. collecting data and producing evaluation reports, preferably for international non-profit organizations, competency in Child Rights will be an added advantage. The Consultant should also have proven experience and understanding of a Mixed Methods (Quantitative and Qualitative research methods) approach.
