Separating fathers from their children and vice versa is a form of torture and an abuse of the rights of the child under the UNCRC. It’s ironic that last week The Govt. launched the National Plan of Action for Orphans and Vulnerable Children (NAP II) – and now it seeks to potentially make one more orphan in our land. Let’s hope this father and his child are re-united soon.
