John, in his comment on this post, highlights the complete lack of power that the MDC have in Zimbabwe. The MDC have been neutralised by Mugabe through agreeing to be a part of a unity government. If what John writes is true, imagine being the Prime Minister of Zimbabwe and having your newsletter printed in the Land of Jacob because the conditions are not right in Zimbabwe. How resoundingly pathetic is that? Meanwhile a host of civil society organisations, including Kubatana, regularly print newsletters that are as ‘political’ as the MDC’s. At the very least the MDC should try to be Proudly Zimbabwean and support the myriad of Zimbabwean printers in this country. The MDC has shut themselves down even before Zanu PF has tried.

We all know it’s printed there because that’s where the money and editorial input come from – from outsiders!

If the newsletter isn.t printed outside Zimbabwe, you know very well that it wont printed at all. Not an issue worth discussing.
