Donor created, donor funded and donor driven! It creates false sense of security and pushes the youth to be sexually reckless. The agenda is to raise HIV prevalence among the youth thereby crippling our future. To me it’s another neo-imperialist machination meant to reverse the gains that we have made in our fight against the HIV/AIDS pandemic. I wonder why the government is not condemning this heinous programme.

the question of circumcision has been generalized by a lot of people by failing to comprehend it’s significance. circumcision is not the answer to the HIV and AIDS pandemic, it’s just a measure to reduce contraction IF and ONLY IF used properly with other prevention methods. Cde Mugagau, a point of correction, NO one can be circumcised if they are HIV positive, so it could not be that they were infected before the campaign, but as i said before, people took the issue of circumcision as a wholesome prevention of HIV. but that’s not the idea.

These circumcised men that u say mo of them have HIV than uncircumcirsed, they had already contracted the virus b4 the campaign. You cant measure the impact of this campaign now. And furthermore there is no qualitative or quantitative data to link the high HIv prevalence amongst circumcised men to the campaign right now, it just started

i dont c nothing wrong with the advert, its very encouraging and getting circumcised REDUCES your risk of contracting HIv and OTHER INFECTIONS like thrush. I agree with u its not a one-stop-shop kindaf thing, and m sure thez some involved, and i dont think i wil enjoy being a wounded lion during that recovery period wen i cant hunt, but ol the same its worth it. m gonna go fo the breeze this summer.

There is no data that shows HIV, HPV or any STD change or any real benefit to cutting off parts of a baby boys penis in the US, EU JP….In Africa the same % of cut men and natural penis men have HIV. Real world population studies show that a man with a natural penis is at no higher risk of HIV and HPV.

The International Journal of Men’s Health published results of a study that showed circumcised men are 4.5 times more likely to experience erectile dysfunction due to loss of sensitivity. In a further study, The British Journal of Urology International reports that circumcised men can experience up to a 75 percent reduction in sensitivity compared to men who are not circumcised.

The knowledge of the this WOUNDING affecting sexual pleasure and function goes back years so there is NO IF as to SEXUAL HARM, it is a matter of HOW BAD IS IT for any particular guy. Maimonides (the Torah scholar) noted that the act that circumcision weakens the faculty of sexual excitement and sometimes perhaps diminishes the pleasure is indubitable. Kellogg declared a ‘war on masturbation’ at the end of the 19th century and advocated circumcision to curb male sexual urges by removing the main male pleasure parts.

The parts of the penis that are cut off are some of the most highly innervated parts of the human. The lips, nipples and fingertips have similar touch sense. To push this unnatural practice is wrong.

I’m now suspicious of the PSI agenda because initially they sold the program as a health intervention which is consistent with their work as a health social marketing organization. It’s amazing they’ve stooped low to start using sexual innuendos, such as the radio punchline “girls just love circumcised guys.” Does this shift mark a point of desperation? Have they not harvested enough foreskins?

I agree with your analysis,its not just about this advert only but their whole campaign presents male circumcision as something that one can just decide to do in the split of a second yet its one of those things that demands a lot of thinking factoring in socio-cultural underlying beliefs and whether its really necessary to have one part of a man’s most intimate body parts removed 9for good) for the sake of reducing the contraction of HIV.In any case prevention can even be better achieved through watertight methods such as abstinence and being faithful to one partner who is HIV negative and also faithful.In my view this male circumcision drive will not yield much because it ignores very critical factors that influence the decision making process and the fact that PSI makes something that someone can decide to do so casually will actually deter many people……..
